What is synastry
Synastry is the comparison of two natal charts. Each planet of one person forms aspects (angles) with the planets of the other. Conjunction (0°), sextile (60°), square (90°), trine (120°), opposition (180°) — each aspect describes the nature of interaction between specific energies.
Love combinations
Romantic combinations are especially significant: One person's Venus with the other's Mars — sexual chemistry and attraction. Sun with Moon — deep emotional connection, a sense of having found your person. Venus with Jupiter — mutual enrichment, generosity, and growth. Saturn in aspects adds seriousness and longevity but can feel restrictive.
Why calculation precision matters
A difference of 2-3 degrees can determine whether an aspect exists or not. Free services often use simplified formulas with margin of error. We use Swiss Ephemeris — the same engine powering professional software like Astrodienst, Solar Fire, and Sirius. Data sourced directly from NASA JPL planetary ephemerides.
